Remember, you can figure out the "cross product" from the "right hand rule." Hold your hand flat. Point your thumb in the direction of the first term (the v vector). Point your other four fingers in the direction of the last term (the B vector).

The v x B vector is then in the direction perpendicular to your hand (away from the palm).
